“My name is Atiya Walcott, and I want to be in fashion, and I’m incredibly fashionable, so I decided to post an OOTD every single day.”

I first heard Atiya’s voice through my phone in 2022 when she began her journey on TikTok, posting videos of her outfits while sparkling in the sun against cerulean skies. She had only a few thousand followers, and even though she had just started to post to a small audience, I knew she was going to grow. I followed her immediately, from one video.

Atiya is the exemplar of “If you can dream it, you can do it.” As of 2026, she has over 300K followers across platforms, but in no time, she will be up there with the greats, standing alongside Wisdom Kaye and Best Dressed as one of the most inspirational fashion trendsetters to have begun on social media.

Atiya’s initial success in 2022 wasn’t just because of her incredible smile that lit up the whole screen, the catchy intro that hooked viewers at the beginning of every video, or even her fashion style, but because of her editing: against a copy-and-paste algorithm, Atiya stood out. After a seven-second intro in which she addressed the viewer, jump cuts of her posing in flowy outfits followed, set to the swell of classical music.

The style that pushed her out against a sea of “Get ready with me” content continues to propel her forward. She’s since moved on from recording videos in her backyard (and at least one point in time: on the roof!) to a living room with over fifteen-foot ceilings (conjecture on the height), styling her videos with grandeur, romanticism, and—thanks to the introduction of a walking pad—movement.

Alongside her husband Tim, Atiya owns a condo that they modernized with a soft, subtle green paint and wainscotting (all DIY!), creating an inviting atmosphere with an undertone of Rococo whimsy. Her home has become the backdrop to her fashionable outfits, and it pairs nicely with the denim brand deals, the OOTD mirror selfies, and her mystique. And Tim, Tim is incredibly important: he edits, he zooms in, he J-cuts, and he carries a huge role in pushing Atiya to new baselines in her content.

Atiya’s roots in film and media (she has a BA in Cinema and Film Studies from Wesleyan University and an MFA in Acting from the University of Southern California) propel her work forward and prove that influencing can be more than putting on outfits and trotting around a bedroom—it can evolve into mini-productions, into music videos, and beyond the monotony we are told is “sellable” content. Her creative spirit and distinctive style have led her to partner with brands such as J.Crew, Anthropologie, Nike, and more.

Atiya’s editorial style, catchy intro, and modern, trend-setting outfits showcase her incredible eye for what fashion influencing is and will become. According to her LinkedIn bio, she specializes in “making high-quality fashion content for brands looking to expand their social media presence.” But this undersells her personal brand’s beauty. She is chic, she is inviting, and she is a stand-out. And ever since I first found her glistening in her backyard from the sheen of sunblock, I could identify her by voice before I ever saw her face: because when Atiya makes a video, it is grounded in her soft voice, and most importantly, her name.

You can find Atiya traipsing all across the internet, on Instagram as @atiyawalcottfits, on TikTok as @atiyacwalcott, and on YouTube as @AtiyaWalcott.
